I wanted to share some meal prep tips that have made meal prepping easier for me, and hopefully, they'll be helpful for you too!

1. Spread Out Your Tasks: One of the key strategies I've found is to avoid doing everything all in one day. Instead, I spread out the meal prep process over several days. For instance, I plan my meals and go grocery shopping on Thursday, chop vegetables on Friday, and cook over the weekend. By breaking it down into smaller tasks, meal prepping becomes less overwhelming. Typically, I split my meal prep into two days over the weekend, focusing on breakfasts on Saturday (prepping overnight oats or smoothies) and lunches and dinners on Sunday. This approach not only makes the process more manageable but also allows me to enjoy spending less time each day on cooking and cleaning.

2. Invest in a Vegetable Chopper: As someone who consumes a significant amount of veggies, investing in a vegetable chopper has been a game-changer. Spending just 15 minutes on Fridays to chop my veggies means they're ready for the week ahead. This not only saves time during meal prep but also ensures I have enough ingredients on hand. Plus, having onions, green peppers, and tomatoes pre-chopped makes cooking a breeze. The veggie chopper I have is linked here.

3. Consider Pre-Packaged Options for Macros Tracking: If you're like me and track your macros, opting for pre-packaged items with nutritional information can be a huge time-saver. For example, instead of cooking a bag of rice and weighing it out, I opt for Minute rice, which comes pre-portioned with 45g of carbs per container. Similarly, buying pre-packaged items like Perdue chicken strips eliminates the need for weighing out portions individually. While these options may cost a bit more, the time saved during cooking and weighing makes it worthwhile. Simplify your life and make meal prep easier!

4. Meal Prep for the Weekend: An essential tip I've learned is to meal prep a few extra meals for the weekend on Thursday. Without these prepped meals, I often find myself not eating enough over the weekend. While I do enjoy dining out with friends and family, relying on restaurants for all meals during the weekend isn't sustainable. Preparing extra meals ensures that I maintain proper nutrition and stay on track with my goals throughout the entire week, not just on weekdays.

By incorporating these meal prep tips into your routine, you can streamline the process, save time, and set yourself up for success in reaching your health and nutrition goals. Happy meal prepping!
